"I've had some very beautiful pens in my lifetime that are great to look at but don't write well. The pen you sent me I can honestly say is the first beautiful pen that I have ever really used."

ABOUT BRONZE ART PENS

The sculptural beauty of Bronze Art Pens creates instant visual interest which gives way to tactile delight when they are used to write or draw. Unlike plastic pens, they have a satisfying feel that makes writing a new pleasure. Writers swear by the rubber cushioned grip and bronze clip. Artists appreciate how the wand-like barrel of the pen blends into their hand motion when held in any position. There are a diversity of pen styles to satisfy differing tastes and interests, from a rugged natural bronze patina & finials, to sensible sophistication and a gratifying "visual party" of caps, grips, clips and patinas. Pens come with an attractive gift box.

The fluid, rolling action of this pen cartridge has a effect that is calming and stimulation at the same time. These pens use a Sanford 1.00mm Gel Impact Rollerball refill cartridge which simply slides out of the pen barrel. [They fit snugly. As with the cap, just twist and pull.] These refill cartridges are available in several colors at this store and at office supply stores almost anywhere. These pens make elegant gifts, but you will want one for your self.

*From "Black Ink Parade" by Ben Swift - inspired by the Sanford Gel Impact Rollerball cartridge.

Artist’s Statement

I've been a bronze sculptor for 12 years. For a decade before that I loved to carve stone as a stone mason and sculptor. The look, heft, and flow of this pen is deeply satisfying in some organic way and was somehow inspired by my work with stone and metal.

I started making these pens in 2000 because I loved the way they write and draw, and because of the surprise and joy when I showed, lent, gave, and finally started to sell them. I truly hope you relish them as much as I enjoy making and using them myself.

my first day here
i accidentally stole something
it was my boss's pen
now i've been here
a while, using it
and i could never
give it back

it is perfect
a sanford uniball
gel impact 1.0 mm
tungsten carbide
roller ball

it's ink flow is smooth
like a lily on water
and the line is bold

my drawings seem
important
bigger than life
even the doodles
are professional
